This is walking country. Whether you want a half-hour stroll to Shelve Pool or a day’s ramble over the Devil’s Chair, Lower Farm is the ideal starting point.
We are on the route of the circular 'Flenny Bank Walk' and a few minutes' drive from the Stiperstones ridge. In South Shropshire you will be walking in ancient footsteps, by Iron Age hill forts, stone circles and drovers' roads.
A short drive from Lower Farm, the Long Mynd and the Stretton Hills are a walker’s paradise, with many quiet footpaths through breathtaking scenery, and a good supply of friendly food-pubs.
The Shropshire Hills Shuttle is a bus service with walkers in mind - see http://www.shropshirehillsshuttles.co.uk/
There is a collection of walk books and maps for the use of visitors. You may also like to visit http://www.shropshirewalking.co.uk for a selection of local walks and tours.
