Places to go
Shropshire has a wealth of attractions for visitors, from historical market towns to beautiful gardens and stately homes. Ludlow, with its medieval castle and famed restaurants, makes an excellent choice for a day out. The county town of Shrewsbury and the Ironbridge Gorge with its museums are within easy driving distance. On a trip to nearby Church Stretton, you can take in Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd or the working 19th century farm museum at Acton Scott.
With the Welsh coast, Hay-on-Wye the town of books and numerous National Trust properties near enough for day trips you will never be short of something to see or do.
